The Downtown Line Stage 1 C902 project is a design and build project include the extension of construction of existing Promenade Station and 1.12km interconnection tunnels. One 6.35m diameter EPB machine was used to construct the bored tunnels. It is worth mentioned that this project won the first place in the Safety Competition for Downtown Line Projects held by the Land Transport Authority (LTA). The contract value is S$230.97 million.
